HOME FROM HOME — This is a story about home and its significance for those who have become immigrants, whether by force or by choice. The project explores the experiences of people who have left their countries of origin and moved abroad, either temporarily or permanently.

Through photography, I aim to tell their stories, capturing them in places or with objects that give them a sense of belonging, and to understand what home is made of — memories, smells, recurring rituals, and habits. Has the understanding of home in a new reality fundamentally changed? Perhaps, in the traditional sense, home no longer exists.

For me, this project is about exploring others' experiences through immersing myself in each story. It’s also about self-discovery, as I am someone who recently left my home. I keenly realise the need to find that place where one ‘feels at home’, and I continue to search for that place myself.
